The Maverick 440, Hero MotoCorp’s most expensive motorcycle in India, has made its formal debut. The bike will go on sale in February, at which point the price will be disclosed. Delivery of it will begin in April 2024. Following its launch, the Triumph Speed 400 will be the new Hero Maverick’s main rival.
It has the same engine, platform, and parts
as the Harley-Davidson X440, which was introduced the previous year. On the other hand, Maverick’s design features are highly inventive. There will be three variations and five color choices for the bike lineup. The mid-model will come in two colors, Celestia Bailey and Fearless Red, while the base variant will only come in an Arctic White shade. On the other hand, its top-end model will have the Enigma Black and Phantom Black paint scheme available in its top-end variants. At the front of the bike, there is a round LED projector headlight with an integrated H-shaped DRL and a new headlight cowl.
It says MAVRICK on the fuel tank.
The Maverick’s footpegs are positioned in the middle, and its handlebar is lower than that of the Harley-Davidson X440. The bike has a redesigned taillight design and a single seat. The new Hero Maverick, found in the Harley-Davidson X440, is powered by the same engine. This indicates that the bike has an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 440cc engine that produces 36Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm and 27.3 PS of power at 6,000 rpm. Hero states that at 2000 rpm, 90% of its torque is available. The bike’s gearbox has six speeds.
Telescopic and dual shockers
are installed in the front and back, respectively, for suspension. The bike can travel up to 130 mm on its wheels. It weighs 187 kilograms. It possesses an LCD, and information like speed, phone battery, incoming call/miss call, turn-by-turn navigation, RTM, DTE, and gear indication is available.
