But gradually Honda has discontinued these cars in the country. Now the company hopes that with this new move, the company will increase the sales of its cars in the country.

Currently, Honda only sells the City, City EHEV (hybrid), and Amaze from its sedan portfolio in the country. Honda is preparing to bring a new SUV to India next year.

Honda Cars India President and CEO, Takuya Tsumura has informed in a conversation that the last few years have been very difficult for the company in India, in which the company is working on some important plans for improvement. Along with this, the company is also moving towards electric vehicles. This is the attention of all automakers all over the world. Therefore, the company is also making changes in its production plants located in India to be used in the field of EVs.

The company’s sales will increase in the SUV segment 

The company says that now its bad days in India are about to end. Now the company’s position is good. To increase its sales in the Indian market, Honda will once again launch its new products in the SUV segment. The CEO of the company said that we are working on the plan of electrification in this segment.

Currently, the company has hybrid technology, which may later move to battery-based electric products. According to information, the company is preparing to launch 30 new electric vehicles all over the world by 2030 and aims to sell more than two million electric vehicles every year.

Honda will also discontinue these cars

Honda will also stop production of the Jazz, WR-V, and the fourth generation City by March 2023 in the country. The company also discontinued the Civic and CR-V in December 2020. While the share of the company was 5.44% in the year 2019, it came down to only 2.79% in the year 2022 due to the decrease in its sales of the company. SUV.
