The dream of traveling from Katra to Srinagar by train is going to come true. Indian Railways has announced three trains for the Katra-Srinagar route. Of these, one Vande Bharat and two mail/express trains will go to Srinagar. There is no information about when the booking of trains will start, but information about their timings and fares is coming out. Northern Railway has announced the timing of the train for the first time between Katra in Jammu and Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. There are two-morning trains and one evening train.
Media reports state that this route is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is expected that trains can run between Kashmir and Jammu on this route around January 26. According to the information released by Northern Railway, the newly launched Vande Bharat train will depart from Katra (SVDK) at 8:10 am and reach Srinagar Railway Station (SINA) at 11:20 am. Similarly, the mail / express train will depart from Katra (SVDK) at 9:50 am and arrive at 1:10 pm. Another mail / express train will depart from Katra at 3 pm and reach Srinagar Railway Station at 6:20 pm.
The 203-kilometer trip from Katra to Srinagar
will take three hours and ten minutes on the Vande Bharat Express, which operates six days a week. This trip will take three hours and twenty minutes for mail/express trains. Vande Bharat is scheduled to depart Srinagar at 12.45 pm and arrive in Katra at 3.55 pm on the return trip. A mail/express train will then depart at 3.10 pm and arrive in Katra at approximately 6.30 pm.
What is the cost of the ticket?
Regarding the fare and the train’s departure time, no formal notification has been made. However, it is anticipated that an AC chair transported from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Srinagar and Srinagar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. Similarly, if you travel by executive chair car, then this fare can increase to between Rs 2200-2500. There will be seven stations on the way between Katra and Srinagar.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Srinagar. On this route, the semi-high speed train will go between 70 and 75 km/h. Between Reasi, Sawalkot, Sangaldan, Ramban, Banihal, Qazigunj, and Bijbehara, there will be seven stations in all.
