Most of us begin our yoga experience with an ‘asana’ class and little knowledge of the yoga tradition. According to the Upanishads, our mortal body (Atman or ‘Atman’) is contained within five subtle layers of energy called ‘Kosha’. These ‘panchakoshas’ are physical – ‘annamaya kosha’, energy – ‘pranamaya kosha’, mental – ‘manmaya kosha’, knowledge – ‘vigyanmaya kosha’, ananda – ‘anandamaya kosha’, and then comes the self – ‘atman’. It is the chart that enables us to comprehend our complete trip so that we can all break free from mental nonsense and heal our mind, body, and soul.
1. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali 1.14: Sa tu dirghakala nairantya satkarasevito dradhabhoomi:
Translation: The practice becomes firmly grounded when it is well meditated for long periods of time, without breaks, and with deep devotion.
When we make yoga a part of our daily routine, we are expressing our desire for a lighter body and a clearer mind, but there is more to it than that. is more to it. The powerful system of yoga develops our consciousness, whereas health and fitness are only side effects. In addition, our ‘chakra’ yoga postures are spiritually active in class, which were practically redundant within our collapsed bodies due to long stays at desk jobs. We feel greater compassion, love, and happiness after our yoga class.

Meaning: Therefore, O mighty one, whose senses are tied to his objects, he certainly has a steady intellect.
It is a regular yoga practice that aids in our ability to manage our senses through progressive advancement. COVID-19 has drawn attention to our unhealthy lifestyle; We are so easily susceptible to chronic diseases as a result of our untrained senses and overindulgence. Yoga teaches us how to manage our emotions and avoid overeating while keeping a healthy balance between biological needs and unmet desires. The human body is a brilliantly engineered machine with an excellent protective mechanism; But, if we ignore these warnings and remain unaware of these signals, the human-machine will collapse. Pratyahara, or the practice of withdrawing from the senses, is something yoga teaches us.
3. Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 2.33: To increase argument
Translation: Patanjali advises us to develop opposite thoughts when distressing thoughts (vitarka) bother you, he says; A clear reminder of the importance of changing attitudes to live life to the fullest potential.

Through reflection and introspection, you can view yourself more clearly and objectively as a regular yoga practitioner. You gain the ability to attain ‘sthita prajna’, a state in which one’s mind remains calm and undisturbed. And, with so much external noise, don’t we all yearn for that inner silence?
Yoga takes you on a trip from the outer subtle layers of energy to the soul when you practice it on a daily basis. You grow into your true self. Authenticity is the driving force behind resilience, which enables mind, body, and spirit healing. Yoga is an ancient philosophy that instills strength in a person’s life.
