For Android users’ protection, Google is thinking of introducing a feature similar to the iPhone. In an emergency, this could save someone’s life.
A feature that will be extremely beneficial for individuals in emergencies may soon be added to Android cellphones. Google is currently evaluating this functionality for Android, and it is already present in iPhones. Google is considering adding a new function similar to the iPhone’s emergency live video capability to its Pixel smartphone, which already has many capabilities like safety check and car crash detection.
What is the function of this feature?
For many years, Apple has included the Emergency SOS Live Video function on its iPhone. In an emergency, it enables the user to live stream. This helps the rescue crew determine how serious the situation is. In many emergency situations, phone calls do not provide enough information. In these cases, watching the video might provide the necessary relaxation on the spot.
Google is developing a similar feature as well.
Pixel phones currently have an emergency video recording option, however it functions a little differently. It doesn’t offer emergency services the ability to transmit live video, but it does record a 45-minute video and send its URL to emergency contacts. It has now been discovered that an Android handset is undergoing testing for a new function. The ability to share live footage with emergency services will be included with this functionality. The user’s phone will not capture this video, but rescue and relief crews will be able to do so.
Every Android user can profit.
It has been reported that this feature will not be exclusive to Pixel phones. Its advantages will also be accessible on other Android, Samsung, and Motorola handsets. This feature will make it simple for individuals to contact rescuers in an emergency.
