Delhi Capitals co-owner Jindal’s team will be based in Centurion, Pretoria, and will be called Pretoria Capital. Incidentally, both Pretoria and Delhi are the capitals of their respective countries.
MI and CSK made the biggest bid
According to reports, the largest financial offer—close to 250 crores—was made by MI and CSK. According to the IPL model, every franchisee will have to pay 10 percent of the franchise fee for 10 years. South African talent has lately entered the franchise, with MI signing Tristan Stubbs and Dewald Brevis, while Faf du Plessis leads the RCB squad. Sanjeev Goenka is thought to be interested in the Durban team, which last year purchased Lucknow Super Giants. Meanwhile, Sunrisers may be out of Port Elizabeth, while Rajasthan Royals are expected to pick up the Paarl franchise.
