The Mahindra Thar is the first SUV that most people think of when discussing lifestyle SUVs. Thar vehicles are renowned for their good looks and off-road prowess. It could be considered India’s most well-liked lifestyle SUV. However, it is currently facing competition from the recently released Maruti Suzuki Jimny. Customers have responded favorably to Jimny. It has a lot of reservations about Maruti. You could claim that these two currently control the lifestyle SUV market. However, there is another lifestyle SUV on the market that is less popular but has respectable off-roading capabilities. This is the Force Gurkha, a competitor of the Jimny and the Thar.
Engine and price
Force Gurkha is available for 14.75 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). It has a 2.6-liter diesel engine that is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine produces 250Nm of torque and 90PS of power. Gurkha drives each and every wheel. It is therefore 4X4. It comes with manual (front and rear) locking differentials and a low-range transfer case as standard equipment. This implies that you can comfortably enjoy off-roading with it.

Force Gurkha Pickup Version SUV
The Force Gurkha will soon also be available in a pickup truck form. It was recently observed while being tested. However, no formal announcement of its launch has yet been made. Currently, the Mahindra Thar and the Maruti Suzuki Jimny compete with the Gurkha Lifestyle SUV. However, it costs more than both of them did at first. It competes with SUVs like the Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Nissan Kicks from the standpoint of price.
