July 2025 Bank Holidays: Because of national, regional, and religious events, the Reserve Bank of India has set aside seven bank holidays for July 2025, with the exact number varies by state. In order to efficiently handle financial transactions, customers should review the holiday list.

July 2025 Bank Holidays:

The Reserve Bank of India’s official state-by-state holiday calendar for the fiscal year 2025–2026 lists seven bank holidays for July 2025. National, regional, and religious observances determine India’s bank holidays, which vary from state to state.

Apart from the seven specified holidays, Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of July 2025 will also see bank closures. Next month, banks in various parts of the country will be closed for observances such Kharchi Puja, Harela Puja, and Ker Puja.

In order to organize their financial transactions without any hassle, customers need to review the bank holiday list for the next month. Here is a comprehensive list of bank holidays per state:

Kharchi Puja—Thursday, July 3

Agartala banks will be closed for Kharchi Puja, a Hindu celebration in Tripura honoring fourteen deities known as Chaturdasha Devata.

Saturday, July 5th, is Guru Hargobind Ji’s birthday.

In Srinagar and Jammu, banks will be closed on the sixth of the ten Sikh gurus, Guru Hargobind Ji, to celebrate his birthday.

Beh Deinkhlam on Monday, July 14

For Beh Deinkhlam, a holiday observed by the Jaintia tribe in Meghalaya, banks will be closed in Shillong.

Wednesday, July 16: Harela

Harela, a festival observed in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand and some areas of Himachal Pradesh, may cause banks in Dehradun to close.

Thursday, July 17, is U Tirot Singh’s death anniversary.

In Shillong, banks will stay closed on the anniversary of the passing of U Tirot Singh, a Khasi chief.

Saturday, July 19: Ker Puja

For the Tripuran festival of Ker Puja, banks in Agartala will be closed. It is devoted to Ker, the guardian deity of the area, who provides protection from disasters and outside dangers.

Monday, July 28: Drukpa Tshe-zi

For the Buddhist holiday of Drukpa Tshe-zi, which falls on the fourth day of the sixth month in the Tibetan lunar calendar, banks in Gangtok will be closed. Lord Buddha gave his first sermon on this day.

Services for online banking during a bank holiday

Except in cases where the banks notify customers otherwise, customers can access online banking services nationwide during bank holidays. Additionally, demand draft request forms, checkbook forms, and NEFT/RTGS transfer forms can be used to request fund transfers. Through card services, one can obtain credit cards, debit cards, and ATM cards. Additionally offered are services like establishing standing instructions, requesting a locker, and completing account maintenance documents.
