Kia India has announced a new Luxury (O) variant, increasing the Carens MPV model lineup, priced at Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variation has been released with seven seats. It is located between the Luxury+ and Luxury trims in the model lineup, that is, above and below them. Speaking of features, the new Kia Carens Luxury (O) model includes options like ambient lighting, multiple drive modes, and an electronic sunroof. Aside from this, it includes all the features available in the premium trim.
A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with
wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. A 4.2-inch color MID, Kia Connect UI with OTA updates, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. And an air purifier for the second row is included in the Luxury (O) model of the Kia Carens. Seatback table, telescoping steering wheel, under-seat tray, complete leatherette seats, automatic climate control, keyless entry and go, LED headlamps and fog lamps, LED DRLs, and LED taillamps.
It comes standard with all-wheel disc brakes,
six airbags, hill start, and descent control, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, rear parking sensors, brake assist, electronic stability control, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, and anti-lock braking. With the introduction of the new Kia Carens Luxury (O) model, 1.5L turbocharged petrol and 1.5L diesel engine options were added.
While the diesel engine unit produces 115 horsepower and
250 Nm of torque, the petrol engine unit generates 160 bhp and 253 Nm. It offers the 6-speed iMT, 6-speed torque converter automatic (only for diesel), and 7-speed DCT automatic transmission options.
