Kia just unveiled the updated Sonet model. Along with several significant feature updates, there have also been styling adjustments done. The business intends to increase the number of SUVs in its lineup; it is not going to stop here. This Korean automaker may be registering a new trademark for its upcoming SUV in India.
“Kia Clavis” appears on the brand.
It is written, and this is probably the brand’s upcoming SUV. Kia’s tiny SUV, the Clavis, is rumored to be built on the Hyundai Exeter. But Kia hasn’t released any official information about this. The fact that Hyundai Motor Group owns Kia Motors in its entirety is important.
Kia is reportedly attempting
to take advantage of the micro SUV market. Tata Punch is currently leading the market; in November of this year, sales of the mini SUV from Tata totaled 14,383 units, while sales of Hyundai Exeter were 8,325 units within the same time frame. This section is below the SUV sub-4 meters.
Should Clavis be introduced
as a compact SUV, it might be equipped with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, akin to the Exeter’s 82 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. This engine is available with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic gearbox. This engine is also available from Kia in a CNG variant with a marginally different output. However, it’s important to remember that Kia does not currently produce any CNG vehicles. It might be the company’s first CNG vehicle in India if it is also available in CNG.
