To power the OnePlus 13R, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU is anticipated.

OnePlus has formally announced that the OnePlus 13 will go on sale in January 2025. In addition to this announcement, there are rumors that the firm might also reveal the OnePlus 13R at the same occasion. Although the 13R’s specifications have not been formally confirmed, leaks have suggested some of them. Famous leaker Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks), working with 91Mobiles, speculates that the OnePlus 13R may have a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 1,264×2,780 pixel resolution.

With a pixel density of 450 ppi and support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz, this display should provide vivid and fluid images similar to those of its predecessor. A powerful contender in the mid-range smartphone market, the gadget may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU. Furthermore, it has been reported that the OnePlus 13R will run OxygenOS 15.0, which is based on Android 15 and offers the newest features and software improvements right out of the box. 

OnePlus 13R: Specifications (Expected)

In terms of features, storage, and performance, the OnePlus 13R is anticipated to provide competitive specifications. Leaked rumors state that the base configuration will come with 256GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM. It is possible to add more configurations during launch or in subsequent iterations. According to reports, the color options include Nebula Noir and Astral Trail, with the potential for further variations to be added later. 

Three lenses are expected to be included in the device’s rear camera setup. Together with an 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and another 50MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, the primary sensor is a 50MP device with an f/1.8 aperture. A 16MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture is reportedly included in the phone for front-facing photography.

A 6,000mAh battery, purportedly with 80W fast charging capability, powers the OnePlus 13R. The anticipated connectivity capabilities include compatibility for Wi-Fi standards from 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac to the most recent ax/be protocols, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB Type-C connection. An infrared blaster and an optical fingerprint sensor in the display may improve security and add more functionality.
