Mercedes, Audi, and BMW have lowered the cost of their high-end vehicles by lakhs of rupees since the GST 2.0 change. Please let me know the updated price list and the model you want to purchase.
The Indian government’s GST 2.0 amendments have provided the auto industry a fresh boost. Luxury cars are also noticeably affected, even though little cars are receiving enormous reductions. The luxury car tax rate was lowered by the GST Council from 45–50% to 40%. Reaching customers directly is now a benefit of this development. Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW have formally declared that they will provide automobile buyers with the full advantage of this tax relief. The revised prices will go into effect on September 22, 2025.
Mercedes-Benz’s new price
Customers would benefit from 40% GST on all of Mercedes-Benz India’s non-electric (ICE) vehicles, the company announced. Electric automobiles will still be subject to the same 5% GST, though. The corporation claims that this cut will boost demand for luxury cars and draw in more buyers throughout the holiday season.
The best-selling luxury vehicle in India, the E-Class LWB, will now be even more reasonably priced. The new ‘Verde Silver’ color was just introduced by the firm. In the past year, this vehicle has taken home nine major automotive honors. Its sales should rise even further as a result of the price cut.
There will be discounts on Audi.
On Monday, September 8, 2025, German luxury automaker Audi also revealed that the prices of a number of its vehicles would be lowered in India. According to the corporation, the purpose of this price cut is to allow customers to profit from lower GST rates. According to Audi India, new pricing have been set following the introduction of GST 2.0. Depending on the model, consumers would now receive incentives ranging from Rs 2.6 lakh to Rs 7.8 lakh. According to the updated pricing, the company’s entry-level SUV Q3 now starts at Rs 43.07 lakh instead of Rs 46.14 lakh.
BMW’s new prices
Customers of BMW India have also experienced a significant sense of relaxation. The business has declared that it will lower the cost of a few chosen models by up to Rs 9 lakh. New model-specific costs will be announced shortly, even though BMW has not yet disclosed the full price list for every model. BMW’s action will help to fortify the brand ahead of the holiday season. Its rivalry with Mercedes-Benz and Audi will become even more fierce as a result.
