It took India a long time to get a Maruti Suzuki Jimny. This wait ended when Maruti presented the Jimny SUV at the 2023 Auto Expo. It will face off against Mahindra Thar, the market leader in its sector. However, the current Thar is only available in a 3-door variant, whilst the Maruti Suzuki Jimny has been introduced in a 5-door version.
However, the source states that Mahindra would also introduce a 5-door Thar. Additionally, it was observed in the initial tests. In other words, the Mahindra Thar (5-door) and Maruti Suzuki Jimny may face stiff competition in the future. Although the Maruti Suzuki Jimny’s costs have not yet been released, it is anticipated that they would begin at about Rs 10 lakh.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door variant, which has been introduced to India, mostly mimics the design of the 3-door version, which is available on the worldwide market and is probably familiar to most people. To make the 5-door version, certain adjustments had to be done. It has 5 seats, and it is 3,985mm long, 1,645mm wide, and 1,720mm tall. Also has 210mm of ground clearance. Jimny has a 36-degree approach angle, a 24-degree ramp break-over angle, and a 50-degree departure angle. It is transported in a 4X4. Overall, it may be a fantastic off-road vehicle.
