In India, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the EQG all-electric SUV concept car. In addition, the German luxury carmaker has declared that the EQG will make its Indian debut by year’s end as a production-ready model. The EQG concept car has kept its distinctive boxy posture. However, the production-ready model may undergo certain modifications.
The Mercedes-Benz EQG
concept has a complete front panel with a 3D star design and lighted trim pieces in place of the conventional grille. It sports an LED-lit roof rack and aluminum 22-inch wheels. The G-Class and the electric SUV are both constructed on the same ladder-style chassis. Its independent front suspension and robust rear axle improve its off-road capabilities.
According to Mercedes-Benz,
the EQG’s concept car shows off a quad-motor drivetrain. There will be two gearbox speeds in the gearbox, one for low and one for high gearing. There have been claims that the EQG will have more power and faster acceleration than the AMG G63.
The electric SUV
will be equipped with a G-turn function, which will allow the electric motors to spin the wheels in the other direction. This will allow the vehicle to turn its tank 360 degrees. There is a button on the dashboard that can be used to activate this feature. The paddle shifters on the steering wheel allow the driver to control a turn to the left or right.
Mercedes-Benz
has also introduced the GLA Facelift and the AMG GLE 53 Coupe Facelift in addition to this. The base cost of a GLE Coupe facelift is Rs 1.85 crore, but the price of a GLA facelift starts at Rs 50.50 lakh. They are ex-showroom prices. While the engine layout is the same as it was before the facelift, there have been changes made to the exterior and interior.
