Nigerseed (Rs 820 per quintal) has seen the largest gain in MSP over the previous year, followed by ragi (Rs 596 per quintal), cotton (Rs 589 per quintal), and sesame (Rs 579 per quintal).
Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Kharif Crops 2025-26
This year’s regular paddy MSP will be Rs 2369 per quintal, which is Rs 69 more than last year’s Rs 2300, per the PIB press release. Likewise, grade-A paddy’s MSP has been set at Rs 2389 per quintal, which is Rs 69 higher than it was last year at Rs 2320.
In addition to paddy, the MSP for hybrid jowar has been set at Rs 3699 when discussing cereals. Compared to last year, when quintals cost Rs 3371, this is Rs 328 higher. In a similar vein, Maldandi Jowar’s MSP has been set at Rs 3699, Rs 328 more than it was at Rs 3421 per quintal the previous year.
Tur Dal has experienced the largest increase in the MSP of pulses.This year, its MSP is Rs 8000 per quintal, up Rs 450 from Rs 7550 per quintal the previous year.
In comparison to the previous year, the MSP of moong dal has increased by Rs 86 to Rs 8768. Last year, its lowest support price was Rs 8682. This year’s MSP for urad dal is Rs 7800 per quintal, up Rs 400 from Rs 7400 per quintal the previous year.
