Tata

The Global NCAP crash test gave the new Tata Nexon a 5-star grade. This time, the crash test was conducted by stronger guidelines put into place in 2022. Before this, in 2018, Nexon had a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test; however, the crash test guidelines haven’t changed since then. Furthermore, when it comes to the safety of adult and kid occupants, Nexon gets the second-highest Global NCAP score among Indian automobiles.

The SUV received a total

of 32.22 out of 34 points from Global NCAP for adult occupant protection in the crash test, and 44.52 points out of 34 of 49 for child occupancy protection. In the frontal crash test, the SUV provided good protection to the head and neck of the driver and co-passenger. There is also good protection for the knees of the front occupants.

It has been said that the footwell

the area is stable. In addition, the body cell has been described as stable and able to support the weight. The head, abdomen, and pelvis are well protected in a side collision, but the chest is very slightly protected. It offers good protection for the head and pelvis in a side pole accident and has curtain airbags as standard. The SUV offers only moderate protection to the chest and sufficient protection to the abdomen in the event of a side pole impact.

The SUV has ESC

as standard equipment and its performance during testing met the most recent Global NCAP regulations. Every seat in the SUV has a seat belt reminder. In front, the Nexon provided nearly total protection and side impact tests for both the 3-year and 18-month-old dummies.
