India’s First Flexi-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicles: Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari today launched the country’s first Flexi-fuel (ethanol-powered) car on October 11. After the arrival of this car, now people will get relief. The central government also intends to bring ethanol as an alternative to petrol and diesel.
After the arrival of this car in the Indian market, people will get benefit because it will be very affordable and economical as well as beneficial for the environment. Toyota has launched this car in India as a Flexi-fuel strong hybrid electric vehicle under a pilot project.
How is ethanol made?
While ethanol is used in flex-fuel vehicles, it is sustainably made from resources like cane sugar and corn. Hence, this makes ethanol a good alternative to buying foreign oil. Apart from this, it will help in getting fair prices for sugarcane to the farmers of the country.
Ethanol is seen as an alternative fuel, its cost is Rs 60-62 per liter whereas in many parts of the country the price of petrol is more than Rs 100 per liter, so its use can cost people Rs 30-35 per liter. will cost. liters will be saved.

Flex fuel is made by mixing ethanol or methanol with petrol. In order for the engine of flex-fuel cars to run on two or more fuels, it requires some technical changes.
