Maruti Suzuki is the largest-selling car company in the country. If we talk about its best-selling models, then the names of models like Alto, WagonR, or Baleno will come to mind most people. But, something different happened in the month of March 2023. Alto, WagonR, and Baleno were left behind in the month of March, and Maruti Swift has sold the most among them. Its price starts from 6 lakh rupees.
Maruti Suzuki Swift outperformed everyone.
As a result, the Maruti Swift became the nation’s best-selling automobile. On an annual basis, the sales of the Maruti Swift have increased by roughly 29%. Maruti Swift sold a total of 13,632 cars in March 2022, while in the following month (March 2023) it sold 17,599 units. It topped the list of best-selling automobiles in March 2023 with these sales.
After the WagonR Maruti Swift, the Maruti Suzuki WagonR has been ranked second.
However, WagonR’s sales have decreased by almost 30% year over year. Nevertheless, the WagonR has managed to claim the second position on the list of best-selling automobiles. Only 17,305 Maruti Suzuki WagonR units were sold in March of this year compared to 24,634 units sold in March of the previous year in 2022.
Brezza was third in sales
followed by the Baleno at number four, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza was third. In comparison to March 2022, its annual sales grew by 30%, reaching 16,227 units. In March 2022, only 12,439 units were sold. It’s also important to note that the Brezza was the best-selling SUV in March 2023.
The Baleno has frequently been the best-selling vehicle (during various months)
but March was not one of those months. Even though its annual sales rose by 11%, it nevertheless held the fourth-place position in terms of sales. 16,168 units were sold in March 2023 compared to 14,520 in March 2022.
