The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice regarding practical examinations and internal assessments for CBSE 10th & 12th students in schools starting in winter. According to the notice, practical examinations will be conducted from November 5, 2024, to December 5, 2024, as these schools will remain closed in January 2025. The letter states that as these institutions will be closed in January 2025, CBSE 10th & 12th practical exams will take place from November 5, 2024, until December 5, 2024.
On January 1, 2025, practical exams for other schools will be held.
The official notification states, “From November 5, 2024 (Tuesday), to December 5, 2024 (Thursday). Practical examination/project/internal assessment for the session 2024–25 for classes X and XII for winter schools will be conducted.” Please refer to this link for the SOP and instructions on how to conduct practical exams. Standard operating procedures (SOPs)
and instructions for administering practical exams have been released by the board to all schools. These include information on uploading marks, appointing an external examiner, unfair means, practical answer sheets, exam protocols, and more. The following steps must be taken by all schools that resume after winter break, per the official notification. Compile the final candidate list and make sure that no school student may participate in these practical tests, projects, or internal evaluations if their name has not been entered into the online LOC presented to the Board.
