The price of crude oil has been steadily falling for some years. The increase in crude was always small, though, whenever it did occur. But despite the drop in crude, the price of petrol and diesel is rising on the domestic market. On Wednesday, prices for petrol and diesel rose in certain cities as well. Nevertheless, this price increase is only slight. However, in some cities, the cost of petrol and diesel has stayed the same. WTI crude’s price on Wednesday dropped to $ 71.62 per barrel, while Brent crude hit $ 75.31 per barrel.
Petrol diesel prices increased in Gurugram.
The oil firms announced new prices for petrol and diesel on Wednesday morning. In Delhi, the capital, the petrol-diesel mix remained unchanged. In Delhi, the price of petrol has not changed from Rs 96.72 to Rs 89.62 a litre. The price of petrol and diesel also remained unchanged in Noida. A litre of gasoline costs Rs. 96.92 and a litre of diesel costs Rs. 90.08. On Wednesday morning in Gurugram, the price of gasoline climbed by 11 pesos to Rs 97.10 per litre while the price of diesel increased by 10 pesos to Rs 89.96 per litre.
In Lucknow, fuel and petrol prices have decreased.
In addition, petrol and diesel are now less expensive in Lucknow. Here, the price of gasoline dropped by 14 paisas to Rs 96.43 per litre and the price of diesel dropped by 13 paisas to Rs 89.63 per litre. In Patna, the price of gasoline has climbed by 17 paisas to Rs 107.76 per litre, while the price of diesel has grown by 16 paisas to Rs 94.52 per litre. Diesel prices in Jaipur have increased by 12 paise to Rs 93.84 per litre and by 13 paise to Rs 108.61 per litre for gasoline.
Four metro areas’ gasoline-diesel prices
Delhi prices for a litre of gasoline are Rs. 96.72 and Rs. 89.62.
Diesel costs Rs 92.76 per litre and gasoline costs Rs 106.03 in Kolkata.
Mumbai charges Rs. 106.31 for gasoline and Rs. 94.27 for diesel per litre.
Chennai charges Rs. 102.63 for gasoline and Rs. 94.24 for diesel per litre.
Here, the price of petro-diesel increased.
Gurugram’s petrol price jumped by 11 pesos to Rs 97.10 per litre.
Diesel prices in Gurugram jumped by 10 pesos to Rs 89.96 a litre.
Lucknow has inexpensive petrol and diesel. Diesel costs Rs. 89.63 and gasoline Rs. 96.43 a litre.
Petrol prices in Patna rose to Rs 107.76 per litre and diesel to Rs 94.52.
In Jaipur, the price of petrol climbed as well; petrol rose by 13 paisas to Rs 108.61 and diesel rose to Rs 93.84 a litre.
The price of petrol will decrease due to the addition of ethanol!
Union Minister Piyush Goyal asserted that the goal of blending 20 per cent ethanol in fuel will be accomplished by 2025 notwithstanding the continuous ups and downs in the price of petrol and diesel. He claimed that the maize crop would be crucial to carrying out this project. He requested that businesses create these plants to produce this green fuel, which can be made from raw materials like sugarcane and wheat. With the help of industry and farmers, the percentage of ethanol in petrol was raised to 10% in 2021–2022.
