PM Kisan Scheme: Many of the millions of Indian farmers who are eligible for a monetary reward of Rs 6,000 per year may hear some good news. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduces the Union Budget. According to some media reports, the government may increase the farmers’ annual financial reward under the PM-KISAN scheme to Rs 8,000. Additional sources state that the eligible farmers will be paid Rs 8000 in 4 equal instalments directly to their accounts.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme
unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019. It aims to provide income support to all landowner farmer families in the country who own cultivable land. With some limitations. The recipients of the Scheme are given a total of Rs 6000 in three equal payments of Rs 2000 every four months. Which are deposited into their bank accounts. Even though hundreds of eager farmers are waiting for the transfer of Rs 2,000 into their accounts. Many farmers are not qualified for the PM KISAN Scheme.
Which individuals qualify for benefits under the PM-KISAN Scheme?
Families of farmers who own cultivable land in their names are eligible to receive benefits under the programme.
To whom does the PM-KISAN Scheme not apply?
- Higher-class beneficiaries in the following groups will not be eligible for benefits under the plan.
- Every institution that owns the land.
- A farmer family that falls into one or more of the following categories is referred to as
- Former and current constitutional officeholder
- Previous and present mayors of municipal corporations, former and present chairpersons of district panchayats, former and present members of the LokSabha, RajyaSabha, state legislative assemblies, and the legislatures of the several states.
- All officers and workers of Central and State Government Ministries, Offices, and Departments, as well as regular staff members of Local Bodies, whether they are currently employed or have retired from those positions.
- All superannuated or retired pensioners of the aforementioned type (except Multi Tasking Staff, Class IV, and Group D personnel) whose monthly pension is Rs. 10,000 or more.
- Everybody who paid income tax during the most recent assessment year
- Registered members of professional bodies, such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and architects, who practise their professions.
