Rajasthan VDO Exam Postponed: The Gram Vikas Adhikari Recruitment Exam 2025 has been postponed by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB). This exam has been rescheduled from its original date of August 31, 2025.

The test is scheduled for November 2.

The Rajasthan VDO Recruitment Exam is scheduled for November 2, 2025, per the official announcement. This recruiting campaign will fill 850 positions, 683 of which will be in non-scheduled areas and 167 of which will be in scheduled areas. The board will also shortly announce the updated date for the Lab Assistant test.

According to the Board’s notification, candidates should check the official website frequently in order to receive timely updates.

The test is scheduled for November 2.

Procedure for Selection

A written exam will be used to choose candidates for the Village Development Officer (VDO) positions. There will be a preliminary exam and the main exam, which will be administered in two phases. Candidates will only be able to take the main exam if they pass the preliminary exam.

Salary range

According to Pay Matrix Level-6 and the 7th Pay Commission, the chosen individuals would get competitive salaries that meet government service standards.

Following the selection process, the appointment process

The Rajasthan Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department receives the list of chosen applicants following the conclusion of the selection process. The candidates are then designated as probationer trainees when the district-by-district merit list is created. This procedure is carried out in accordance with departmental guidelines.

According to the regulations, all chosen applicants are appointed after a two-year probationary term. During this time, only the fixed compensation set by the state government is given in lieu of the wage scale. Typically, this sum falls between Rs 18,000 and Rs 23,700. They don’t receive any additional benefits during this time (DA, HRA, etc.).
