Recruitment in Air Force for 317 open vacancies, know the details

The Air Force Common Admission Test 2 Recruitment announcement has been made available on the official Indian Air Force (IAF) website, afcat.cdac.in. The comprehensive announcement can be seen in Recruitment News for May (25–31) 2024. It is anticipated that 317 positions in the Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), Ground Duty (Non-Technical), and Flying branches will be filled. The deadline for applications is June 28, 2024, and candidates can begin the application process online on May 30.

Additionally, applications will be accepted

for the Indian Air Force’s Flying Branch’s NCC Special Entry Scheme. The examination’s online application period will open on December 1st. December 30 is the deadline for submitting applications. The notification will contain information on the examination date. The program will start in January 2025.

AFCAT 2024 Qualification Standards

Completion of a 12th-grade course with at least 50% in math and physics. As well as a graduation degree in any field from an accredited university with at least 60%. Or equivalent. OR a minimum 60% grade in a B.E. or B.Tech degree from an accredited university, or its equivalent. Associate Membership in the Institution of Engineers (India). Or a minimum 60% grade in the Aeronautical Society of India’s Section A and B examinations from an accredited university.

Aeronautical Engineer 

12th grade, 50% in Physics and Mathematics. Graduate/Integrated Post Graduate qualification in Engineering/Technology. Or passed the Institution of Engineers (India) Section A and B examinations. The Institute of Electronics and Communication Engineers in India Aeronautical Society of Associate Membership examinations. Or Graduation Membership examination of the relevant subjects with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

RecruitmentA minimum of 60% in the 12th grade,

a degree from an accredited university, associate membership in the Indian Institute of Engineers or the Aeronautical Society of India, or the equivalent, or passing the Section A and B exams with at least 60% of the possible points. 12th grade, 50% in any subject; post-graduation, 60% in any topic; integrated course for PG (one degree, no exit or lateral entry). 60% or more in any discipline, passing the Institution of Engineers (India) Section A and B exams, or admittance as an Associate Member of the Aeronautical Society of India with a minimum of 60% or above.
