A brief Recruitment notice for the hiring of 526 Sub Inspector, Head Constable, and Constable (Telecommunication) positions has been issued by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF). The ITBP recruiting portal, recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in, will shortly release the comprehensive notification. The ITBP SI and Constable (Telecommunication) Recruitment, 2024 application period will open on November 15 and close on December 14.
These SI (Group B) and Constable, Head Constable (Group C)
positions are open to both men and women. The hiring process will be temporary. The following are the job’s gender and post-specific features.
- There are 92 openings for Sub Inspectors (Telecom) (78 Male & 14 Female).
- 383 openings for Head Constable (Telecom) (325 Male & 58 Female)
- Telecom Constable: 51 Openings (44 Men & 7 Women)

In addition,
10 percent of the vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen (ESM). The ITBP said that if the vacancies reserved for ESM candidates remain vacant due to the non-availability of eligible candidates, they will be filled by non-ESM candidates. Candidates for SI positions should be between the ages of 20 and 25. Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 23 to be considered for Havildar positions, and between the ages of 18 and 25 to be considered for Head Constable positions. The comprehensive announcement will include the deadline for establishing the age limit.
Pay Matrix/Salary
Rs 35,400-1,12,400 (Level 6) for SI positions. It ranges from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 (Level 3) for Constables and from Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100 (Level 4) for Head Constables. The application cost is Rs 100 for constable and head constable positions and Rs 200 for SI.
