MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset has been given in Redmi K50i. I have used this phone for some time and on the basis of this, we tell you how this phone performs in initial use. How are they look and feel and is there anything special?
Design – Talking about the look and feel, this phone is a bit thick and heavy. It is 8.87mm thick and 200 grams in weight. The camera module looks good and houses three cameras. The blue color variant of the phone seems to change color according to the light. The camera module is slightly raised, which makes these phones not to be laid flat at the back, it remains slightly raised.
The SIM card tray, speaker grille, and USB Type C port are given at the bottom of the phone. On the side are the volume rocker and power button. The company has given a fingerprint scanner in the power button itself, that is, you do not get an in-display fingerprint scanner. The headphone jack has been given near the speaker grille on the top of the phone, which is a good thing.
The 6.6-inch Full HD Plus display of the Redmi K50i. With this, support for a 144Hz refresh rate is available. In addition to supporting HDR 10, this phone’s brightness can reach 650 nits. Overall, the phone’s display looks fine in the initial use and the colors also look good.
The setup of the phone is similar to other Redmi smartphones. Android 12-based MIUI 13 has been given to this phone. Like other recent Xiaomi smartphones, you also get a lot of customization features here. Apart from this, a lot of bloatware ie pre-installed apps have also been given on the phone.
Three rear cameras have been given in Redmi K50i. The primary lens is 64 megapixels, the second lens is 8 megapixels and it is of wide angle. Apart from this, a 2-megapixel macro lens has also been given. This smartphone sports a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies.
Redmi K50i’s camera looks impressive in initial use and the pictures are good. The wide-angle camera is weak, but you can click good pictures with the primary lens. The selfie camera is good and we haven’t used it much till now.
We have not done the battery test of the Redmi K50i. Overall, this smartphone looks impressive in its initial use. It is expected that even after using it for some time, its performance remains the same. After using it well, we will do a full review soon.
