Sawan 2025: Know What Pleases & Upsets Lord Shiva

Sawan 2025: On July 11, Sawan will begin. Shiva will be worshipped in this scenario during the month of Shravan, but before worshiping Mahadev, find out what Bholenath enjoys and dislikes.

Sawan 2025: Mahadev is regarded as a god who is instantaneously appeased. He is known as Ashutosh for this reason. Because “Tosh” means “satisfied” or “pleasured,” and “Ashu” means “soon” or “immediately.” Bhole is another name for Lord Shiva.

It is said that Lord Shiva takes anything that is offered to him. Sawan will begin this year on July 11. Although worshiping Bholenath in Sawan is thought to be infallible, be aware of Shiva’s preferences before worshiping him on Shravan Monday and throughout the full month of Sawan.

What does Lord Shiv like?

  • Water: Mahadev consumed all of the poison during the Samudra Manthan. When Lord Shiva drank the poison, his body began to burn. Water was the greatest source of relief for Lord Shiva during that time, which is why Mahadev loves it.
  • Belpatra: Lord Shiva’s three eyes are represented by Belpatra’s three leaves. One Belpatra offered on Shivlinga yields one crore females’ Kanyadan.

  • Dhatura: Offering a Dhatura to Lord Shiva has the same effect as offering a thousand blue lotuses. Offering Dhatura to Lord Shiva is considered to cleanse the mind and thoughts of resentment.
  • Aak and Shami flowers: The scriptures state that presenting one Aak flower during Shiva Puja yields fruits equal to giving gold. Offering one Shami flower on Shivling, however, will have the same positive effects as offering a thousand Dhatura flowers.
  • Coolness is associated with sandalwood. Offering sandalwood on Shivling is thought to boost social recognition and respect.
  • Shiva’s favorite items include also milk, camphor, cannabis, ash, rice, Rudraksha, thandai, malpua, and halwa.

What does Lord Shiva not like?

  • Makeup: Don’t give Baba any cosmetics like turmeric, mehndi, or roli because Lord Shiva is a recluse and dislikes things associated with appearance.

  • Conch shell: Bhole Baba shouldn’t be given water in a conch shell. Shankhchud was a monster that Lord Bholenath slew, according to the Shiv Puran.
  • Tulsi: Shiva had murdered Tulsi’s husband, Jalandhar (formerly known as Vrinda). Shiva had been cursed by Tulsi. As a result, Tulsi is not allowed in Shiva worship.
  • Coconut: Lord Shiva should never be anointed with coconut water since coconut is thought to be a manifestation of the goddess Lakshmi.
  • Ketaki: According to the Shiv Purana, Lord Shiva punished the Ketaki flower for its role in the argument between Brahma and Vishnu. Thus, don’t present Lord Shiva with Ketaki flowers.
