However, if we look at the sales growth percentage on a year-on-year basis, it is higher than that of Tata Nexon. On a year-on-year basis, Tata Nexon sales grew by 51%, while Maruti Suzuki Brezza sales grew by 18%.
In terms of unit sales, Tata Nexon sold 10,006 units in August 2021 and 15,085 units in August 2022. At the same time, Maruti Suzuki Brezza sold 12,906 units in August 2021, while 15,193 units were sold in August 2022. That is, not only in August. In 2022 but in August 2021, the Brezza sold more than the Nexon. At the same time, let us tell you that the Brezza comes with only one 1.5 liter petrol K-series engine and the diesel engine option is also available in the Tata Nexon. Along with this, the option of EV is also available in Nexon.
It is worth noting that Maruti Suzuki launched the second generation Brezza in June, it was launched at a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Even before its launch, it was getting a good response from the customers. According to media reports, the company has received more than 1 lakh bookings of the new 2022 Maruti Brezza so far.Â
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza lineup comes in four trims – LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. Brezza is powered by a 1.5L K15C petrol engine, mated to a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Its manual variant costs between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 12.46 lakh, while the price of the automatic variant ranges from Rs 10.96 lakh to Rs 13.96 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
