‘The Ashok’ Hotel Ready To Be Sold For So Many Crores, the government fixed the price

The Ashok Hotel Delhi: The famed “The Ashok Hotel” in Delhi will be sold by the national government as part of the National Monetization Pipeline (NMP) program; its symbolic value has been set at Rs 7,409 crore.

The Ashok Hotel Under NMP: The “Ashok Hotel” in Chanakyapuri, the national capital of Delhi, is the subject of major news reports. The Ashok Hotel is now available for purchase, and a price has also been established.

The Modi administration at the Center set the indicative price of this illustrious hotel in Delhi at Rs 7,409 crore under the National Monetization Pipeline (NMP) scheme.

The NPS program was launched in 2021 by Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister. In this plan, “The Ashoka” Hotel and its neighboring Hotel Samrat are mentioned as Indian Tourism Development Corporation properties. Investors have been addressed in this context, and the Union Cabinet’s consent for the sale of the hotel is being taken into account.

The cost was set at Rs 7,409 billion.

In Delhi, the Ashok Hotel has a space of 25 acres. The Ashoka Hotel will be made profitable through public-private collaboration. A symbolic price of Rs. 7,409 crores has been established for this. In August 2021, Minister Sitharaman made an announcement on an NMP that will invest Rs 6 lakh crore over four years in infrastructure assets across several sectors. Then, under the NMP in 2022–2023, the national government has already monetized assets worth Rs 33,422 crore.

The Ministry of Coal should be prominent in its message

that NITI Aayog had worked with the infrastructure line ministries to develop a report on NMP. According to this story, the Finance Minister discussed the NMP implementation’s progress in a meeting with NITI Aayog CEO Parameswaran Iyer on November 14. Under the NMP in 2022–2023, the government has sold assets worth Rs 33,422 crore. The Ministry of Coal leads the list in terms of monetization, having raised Rs 17,000 crore.
