This news would cheer you up if you’re also searching for a place to call home in Delhi. Around Diwali, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will launch its largest housing project. Notifications for about 36,000 new apartments in Dwarka, Lok Nayak Puram, and Narela will be sent out in this regard. This project will have 14, penthouses, 170 Super HIG, 3,000 HIG, 4,700 MIG, 20,000 LIG, and 8,430 EWS apartments, according to news reported in Times of India.
In Dwarka, 3,100 DDA apartments will be available.
The news said that 3,100 apartments would be available in Dwarka this time. In Sector-19B, there will be 946 HIG, 316 MIG, and 1,654 LIG units in addition to 14 penthouses and 170 super HIG flats. As per the report in TOI, an official stated that the majority of these apartments will be located in Sector-19B and Sector-14. DDA is working hard to decide on the price of these apartments, when they will be released, and how they will be sold. First-come, first-served flat sales and computerized drawing lots are being explored.
Priority will be given to those who arrive first for allocation
According to an official, DDA may assign flats in Narela based on a “first-come, first-served” system. There will be a maximum of 25,400 units available here in various categories. The officials will have a great deal of responsibility in selling these apartments. We would like to inform you that DDA is offering more than 36,000 apartments at once for the first time. In addition, the DDA has the authority to assign apartments in the Dwarka and Lok Nayak Puram housing schemes based on a draw mechanism.
E-auction is being planned by DDA for the first time
The officer added that Lok Nayak Puram has roughly 220 EWS apartments and 647 MIG apartments. DDA is organizing an electronic auction for the first time, featuring 14 penthouses situated atop 14 skyscrapers in Sector 19B of Dwarka. It is anticipated that this property would start at Rs 4 crore. DDA intends to use an electronic auction to obtain the best deal. The relevant data will be submitted on the DDA website following the decision about the apartment’s price.
Why is there a plan in place to alter the way apartments are sold?
In actuality, DDA has not had the anticipated level of success in the last few years in selling apartments based on draw. The DDA’s housing plan has let the authorities down the most in a few Narela and Rohini neighborhoods. The authority intends to sell on a first-come, first-served basis after this. The ‘First Come-First Serve’ housing initiative has been well embraced by the public, according to DDA’s October statement. 2,236 of the 5,623 flats were successfully sold under this strategy in less than 100 days.
What are the plans for the DDA scheme?
- 8430 EWS
- 14 penthouses
- 170 Super HIG
- 3000 HIG
- 4700 MIG
- 20000 LIG
