Cost of LPG cylinders: Customers of LPG cylinders have excellent news before the new year. Customers, however, will begin to profit from the good news announced by the Rajasthani government.
Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan,
shared the good news with Ujjwala Yojana and BPL recipients on Monday during a public meeting. He stated that starting on April 1, 2023, families in both categories will receive less expensive LPG cylinders. He promised to provide the Ujjwala Yojana participants with 12 cylinders at a cost of Rs 500 per year.
Priced at Rs. 1,040 now instead of Rs. 400 before.
Additionally, he mentioned that Rajasthan will receive the budget next month, which will include a proposal to give kitchen kits in an effort to lessen the impact of inflation.
Gehlot added this time that PM Modi provides gas stoves and LPG connections to the underprivileged through the Ujjwala programme, but the gas cylinder is always empty. Gas cylinders are now available for Rs 1,040 instead of their previous Rs 400 price.
Final approval on May 22
However, despite the continuous decrease in the price of crude oil, oil corporations have reduced the cost of petrol and diesel for consumers. For the past seven months or so, the oil firms’ rates have not changed. The central government announced a cut in excise duty on gasoline and diesel on May 22, 2022, after the price of petrol exceeded Rs 100.
Petrol and diesel prices per litre decreased as a result of this move by Rs. 8 and Rs. 5, respectively. Following that, some state governments provided relief to the populace by lowering the VAT on petrol and diesel.
While this was happening, the price of crude also rose, but the oil firms left the price unchanged. Crude recently dropped to $75 per barrel for a brief period.
On Tuesday morning, the price of a barrel of Brent crude was 80.64 dollars.
