The eagerly anticipated foldable phone, the Pixel Fold, was presented at the Google I/O conference but only in a few select markets, excluding India. The Pixel Fold was introduced and cost $1799. It is now available for pre-order, and deliveries will begin in June.
The Pixel Fold’s bigger form factor compared to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series
of phones confirms the majority of leaks and rumors. The Pixel Fold’s cover screen is 5.79 inches and has a larger aspect ratio than its nearest rival, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. The main OLED display is a 7.69-inch FHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
“With the newest device, Google #PixelFold, the first foldable developed exclusively by us, let the Pixel family tale *unfold*. Use it as a phone when it’s handy or as an immersive tablet when you need one with #GoogleIO to get the best of both worlds, the tech giant advised.
The premium Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro devices are both powered by the Tensor G2 chip
which also powers the Pixel Fold. Two storage models—256GB and 512GB—and a single memory option—12GB of RAM—have been made available for the Pixel Fold. It’s possible that Android 13 will come pre-installed on the phone. Similar to the Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel Fold has three cameras. There is a 10.8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, a 10MP telephoto zoom lens, and a 48MP wide-angle camera.
Additionally, the Pixel Fold will have “Split View,” which enables users to run multiple open apps at once.
