The market for mid-size SUVs has expanded quickly. Hyundai Creta currently holds the top spot in this group. The mid-size SUV sector is currently experiencing increased rivalry, though, as many new models are soon to be introduced. In the upcoming months, Hyundai Creta will face competition from the Citroen C3 Aircross, Kia Seltos Facelift, and Honda Elevate.
C3 Aircross Citroen
In April 2023, Citroen unveiled the C3 Aircross mid-size SUV in the nation. The CMP modular platform from Citroen is the foundation for the new vehicle. There are two seating arrangements available: 5 and 7 chairs. It is roughly 4.3 metres long. The SUV has 200mm of ground clearance.
It features a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a digital instrument panel. It will have a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 110 horsepower and 190 nm. For the gearbox, a 6-speed manual gearbox is provided.
THE NEW KIA SELTO
Kia will be able to introduce the updated Seltos in the nation by July or August 2023. In a few international regions, the new model is already for sale. A new turbocharged petrol engine and improved styling are anticipated for the new Kia Seltos. The cabin can also be changed in addition to this.
It will have an ADAS system and a panoramic sunroof. The new model uses an entirely new design language. The 1.5L NA gasoline and 1.5L turbodiesel engines will still be used. The SUV may potentially have a 1.5-litre petrol turbocharged engine with 253Nm and 158 horsepower.
JEEP ELEVATE SUV
During the holiday season, the freshly released Honda ELEVATE will be offered for sale in the Indian market. In July, reservations for the new SUV will open. The fifth-generation City platform serves as its foundation. By 2025–2026, its electric derivative will also be available.
A 1.5-litre NA petrol engine with 121PS and 145Nm of torque will power the new Honda Elevate. Both a 6-speed manual and a 7-step CVT automatic gearbox will be available. It will have ADAS capabilities.
