The new generation GLC has been introduced by Mercedes-Benz in India. For two years, the previous-generation GLC remained one of the most well-liked Mercedes cars. But a few months ago, it was shut down. With the introduction of the GLC 300 4Matic and GLC 220d 4Matic versions, it has now taken on a fresh appearance. The first variant is priced at Rs 73.50 lakh, while the second variant is priced at Rs 74.50 lakh (both ex-showroom). With a low initial deposit of Rs. 1.50 lakh, this luxurious mid-size SUV has been available for reservations for a few months.
Mercedes’ external design has undergone slight adjustments
The new Avantgarde grille is a little bit broader and is made up of one thick horizontal slat, taking cues from the C-Class. Chrome accents have been added to the windows and air dam area. The GLC still has the same overall shape, but it is now more aerodynamic. It has 19-inch alloy wheels with five spokes. Additionally, the wheelbase has grown by 15 mm, and the GLC is now 60 mm longer than its predecessor.

It boasts an 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice controls, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and 360-degree cameras, as well as biometric verification. The vehicle includes a 64-color ambient lighting system, a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control, and a 15-speaker Burmester music system. Additionally, it comes with ADAS, which includes features like Active Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind Spot Assist.
A 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine
that produces 400 Nm at 2,000–3,000 rpm and 255 bhp at 5,800 rpm powers the GLC 300. The GLC 220d, on the other hand, is propelled by a 2.0-liter, inline 4-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine that produces 440 Nm at 1,800–2,800 rpm and 195 Bhp at 3,800 rpm. A 9-speed G Tronic automatic gearbox couples both engines.
