The deadline for depositing or exchanging notes worth Rs 2000 note in the bank has passed. By 7 October 2023, people have to deposit these notes in the bank or exchange them. In this case, even though the deadline has passed, people still have an opportunity to have these notes altered. Actually, anyone who wants to swap Rs. 2000 notes must visit the RBI office and exchange the notes there.
Rs 2,000 note
Now, it is no longer possible to deposit or exchange Rs. 2000 notes at banks. You must visit the RBI office if you want to exchange or deposit Rs 2000 notes at this time. To credit their Indian bank accounts, anyone can now mail Rs. 2000 notes to any of the RBI’s 19 locations.
