Recently, there has been a rise in the demand for CNG vehicles. The primary cause of this is the rise in the cost of petrol and diesel. More mileage and lower cost are features of CNG. For this reason, consumers shopping in the low-income range have begun to take CNG vehicles into account. Now, as SUV have become more popular, automakers are beginning to produce SUVs that run on compressed natural gas (CNG). Many SUVs this year have been seen with CNG options. We would like to inform you about three SUVs that are available with compressed natural gas (CNG).

CNG-powered Tata Punch

There are five CNG versions of the Tata Punch model lineup: Pure, Adventure, Adventure Rhythm, Accomplished, and Accomplished Dazzle S. Prices (ex-showroom) are Rs 7.10 lakh, Rs 7.85 lakh, Rs 8.20 lakh, Rs 8.85 lakh, and Rs 9.68 lakh, in that order. In CNG mode, the 1.2-liter petrol engine produces 97 Nm and 77 PS. It can provide up to 26.99 km/kg of mileage on CNG.

SUV

Maruti Brezza CNG

Maruti Brezza CNG is available for between Rs 9.24 lakh and Rs 12.15 lakh (ex-showroom). It has a 25.52 km/kg mileage capacity. Its 1.5-liter petrol engine produces 121.5 Nm and 88 PS when run on compressed natural gas. The CNG version of the 5-speed manual gearbox is available. It does not have an automatic transmission option.

SUV

Hyundai Exter CNG

Exeter from Hyundai is a compact SUV. Its CNG variant costs between Rs. 8.33 lakh and Rs. 9.06 lakh. With CNG, the 1.2-liter normally aspirated petrol engine produces 69 PS and 95 Nm of power. Its manual gearbox has five speeds. On CNG, it has a mileage of 27.1 km/kg. There are six airbags included as standard.
