Citroen C3 SUV: French carmaker Citroen is soon going to launch its second car in India. Introduced in September last year, the C3 SUV has been being tested on Indian roads for quite some time now. The car is seen without any stickers in the most recent glimpse, and it appears to be ready for production. This vehicle is expected to compete in the Indian market with vehicles such as the Tata Punch and the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. New photos of the car that have surfaced on social media have revealed all the details of its exteriors and this car will be the second product of the French manufacturer in India.
Hatchback sized SUV
In the latest spy shots, the SUV is seen in the shape of a Citroen C3 hatchback without any stickers. The exterior is almost like a cross-hatch which is surrounded by a black plastic casing. It appears to be a standard micro SUV, similar to the Tata Punch. The front of the C3 gets the Citroen’s sturdy bonnet, as well as LED headlamps that surround the double-slat grille. The rear of the SUV gets wraparound taillights and chunky bumpers, which are made in black plastic.
Ground Clearance 180mm
The Citroen C3 is being built on a common modular platform with a wheelbase of 2,540 mm. According to the company, passengers in the rear seats will have plenty of space as well. It has 180 mm of ground clearance, which is slightly less than the Tata Punch. A 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity is included in the car’s cabin. The car comes with a glovebox of 1 liter and a boot space of 315 liters.
Compete with vehicles such as the Tata Punch and Ignis.
The car is likely to get a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine that makes 130 bhp and the company could offer this engine with a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The new C3 can compete with Tata Punch and Ignis, but it will be more expensive. Despite the fact that it is manufactured in the United States, this vehicle will be expensive.
