Units of Tata Punch SUV have been sold last month. This is the highest monthly sales of this SUV to date. In the SUV segment, only Tata Nexon, Hyundai Creta, and Hyundai Venue have been sold. Talking about the price, the price of Tata Punch starts from Rs 5.83 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Engine and Transmission
The Tata Punch gets the same 1.2-liter petrol engine (86PS/113Nm) as the Altro. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and an optional 5-speed AMT. The SUV is available in a total of four trims: Pure, Adventure, Finished and Creative. The Tata Punch’s ground clearance of 187mm shows that it can be taken on rough terrains as well.
Talking about a 5-star safety rating
This micro SUV gets a 7-inch touchscreen system, semi-digital instrument cluster, auto AC, automatic headlights, connected car tech, and cruise control. The special thing is that this car has also got a 5 star safety rating on the crash test.
Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear parking camera. It competes with vehicles like Mahindra KUV100 NXT and Maruti Ignis. But considering the price, it also competes with the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kyger.
