By the end of this year, perhaps around Diwali, Citroen plans to introduce the brand-new C3 Aircross midsize SUV in India. The French automaker will also increase the scope of its product line with the introduction of the CC22, a new crossover sedan. It can go under the moniker Citroen C3X. The launch window is sometime in July 2024. This will be the French automaker’s third ICE-powered vehicle in the nation and its fourth overall model. In the Indian market, the C3X sedan will face off against the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus.
The C3X is believed to have high ground clearance similar to an SUV.
The Citroen C4X and C5X, which are now offered in European markets, may have served as design inspiration for it. There may be many visual parallels between the C3 Aircross and the front fascia. It will have a tailboard that resembles a notchback and a tapered roofline. Aesthetic additions include plastic cladding all around, alloy wheels, larger wheel arches, and greater ground clearance.
The new Citroen car could have an overall length of 4.3 to 4.4 meters
and a wheelbase similar to the C3 Aircross SUV. The Citroen C3X sedan may be equipped with all the features, including a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a fully digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls, and HVAC controls.
It’s possible that the C3 hatchback and
the forthcoming Citroen sedan share the same platform (CMP). It could be powered by the Citroen C3’s 110-horsepower, 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine.
