The electric car (EV) segment is growing rapidly in China and meanwhile, a new small electric car is being talked about a lot. This electric car is Bestune brand’s Xiaomi, which was launched last year. The special thing about this car is that it can run up to 1200 km on a single charge and its price is between 30,000 to 50,000 yuan (about 3.47 lakh to 5.78 lakh rupees).

Platforms and Features
The Xiaomi FME platform, created especially for EVs and range extenders, serves as the foundation for Bestune. NAT, a ride-hailing electric vehicle, was previously constructed on the same platform. The A1 and A2 sub-platforms are part of the FME platform. automobiles with a wheelbase of 2700–2850 mm should use the A1 sub-platform, and automobiles with a wheelbase of 2700–3000 mm should use the A2 sub-platform. This platform’s 800 V design aids in extending the range. A 20kW electric motor situated on the rear shaft powers the Shaoma. Lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) units are utilized as the battery, and they are supplied by REPT and Goshan. The driver-side airbag on the Bestune Shaoma was included with safety in mind. This car comes with 3 doors and talking about its size, its length is 3000mm, width 1510mm and height 1630mm. Its wheelbase is 1953mm.
The Bestune Shaoma is anticipated to be on sale in India, where it will go up against the MG Comet EV and Tata Tiago EV. In China, there is a great need for small electric vehicles, and Bestune Shaoma has the potential to stand out in this market.
