We have the car sales data for December 2022 in front of us. Only Maruti Suzuki makes seven of the top 10 best-selling automobiles on the list. The Maruti Baleno has once again been the most popular vehicle in the nation. 16,932 units of this high-end hatchback were sold in December.
The best-selling MPV vehicle, the Maruti Ertiga, is in the second spot. The best-selling SUV in the nation at the time was the Tata Nexon, which came in at number four. However, Maruti’s car, which came in at number eight on the list, outperformed every other car in terms of monthly growth. The unique feature is that this car just costs Rs. 5 lakhs.
The sole car to experience increase
If you carefully examine the vehicle sales, you will see that all vehicle sales in December decreased in comparison to November’s sales. The second and third-rank vehicles have had declines of 11% and 20%, respectively, while the first-rank Maruti Baleno has seen a decrease of 19%.
Only one car on the list has seen an increase in monthly sales.
The Maruti Eeco, which ranks eighth on the list, is the vehicle in question. In comparison to the 7,183 units sold in November, 10,581 Maruti Eeco cars were sold in December 2022. This has resulted in a 45% monthly rise for Maruti Eeco.

Let us inform you that the manufacturer recently updated the Maruti Eeco. It has a 1.2-liter dualjet petrol engine that produces a maximum torque of 104.4 Nm and 80.76 PS of power. With a petrol engine, it can travel up to 20.20 km/l, and with a CNG engine, 27.05 km/kg.
The digital instrument panel, rotary controls for the air conditioning, and reclining front seats are among its highlights. It has a child lock, reverse parking sensors, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and an engine immobilizer for safety.
