The Mercedes-AMG SL 55 Roadster has been introduced, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.35 crore for all of India. Up until 2012, the iconic SL nameplate was available for purchase, although the sixth-generation model was not exported to India after that. After almost 11 years, the automaker has now brought the SL moniker back to India. The two-door SL Cabriolet is now available for reservations through the firm. After the E-Class Cabriolet in India, the AMG SL 55 Roadster is the brand’s second convertible vehicle.

It has a soft top that can be electrically opened in about 15 seconds up to 60 kph. Like all Mercedes-AMG vehicles, the SL 55 combines opulence with athletic elements. It comes equipped with a three-spoke AMG steering wheel that has a heating function, sporty aluminium pedals, air conditioning vents that are inspired by turbines, carbon fibre inserts on the centre console, and an optional Nappa leather inside. SL has a 2+2 seating arrangement.
The 12.3-inch digital driver display
dual-zone climate control, 64-colour ambient lighting, and power front seats with heated, ventilated, and massage amenities will all be included with the SL 55 Roadster. It has wireless charging, a 1220W 17-speaker Burmester sound system, and an 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system driven by MBUX. It comes equipped with 8 airbags, ESP, surround view, parking assist, blind spot assist, and optional radar-based ADAS for safety.
A 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine provides power for the Mercedes-AMG SL 55. The engine has an output of 700Nm and 476PS. In just 3.9 seconds, this car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph. A 9-speed MCT automatic gearbox is offered when discussing the vehicle’s gearbox.
