Toyota Camry

Soon, a brand-new flex-fuel vehicle will be made available throughout the nation. Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, recently announced that the flex-fuel Toyota Camry will go on sale in August 2023. Different engines are used in flex-fuel vehicles than in conventional vehicles. In actuality, the engine area is where the flex-fuel model has seen the most changes. Gadkari asserts that switching to alternative fuels is urgently needed in order to lower pollution levels and the nation’s reliance on heavy fuel imports.

The Toyota Camry is already on the market in India

and the Strong Hybrid model is the one that is currently offered. It has a conventional gasoline engine and an electric motor, which allow it to provide up to 21.1 km per liter of fuel efficiency despite being a premium sedan. It will soon be available in a new flex-fuel version that will increase its fuel efficiency and reduce its environmental impact.

The Camry flex-fuel is already available

in a few other nations, such as Brazil, where ethanol-based gasoline, often known as flax fuel, is popular. Cheaper than electric vehicles are flex-fuel vehicles. Price-wise, the Strong Hybrid Camry, which currently begins at Rs. 45.71 lakh (ex-showroom), is projected to be more expensive than the flex-fuel Camry.

What is flex fuel?

It is a substitute fuel that is made by combining petrol (also known as petrol) and methanol or ethanol. The typical petrol engine and fuel system are modified for its use. This technology is not brand-new. It has been in operation for almost three decades while work is ongoing.
