If you use a credit card from HDFC Bank and are a customer as well, you will find this news to be very helpful. Indeed, there have been some significant changes to HDFC Bank’s credit card policies and fees. As per the details provided by the bank, all the HDFC Bank rules will take effect on August 1, 2024. The bank had previously adjusted the long-term FD interest rate by 20 basis points. The adjustments that take effect tomorrow will directly affect your pocketbook. A 1% fee is applied to rental transactions.

Credit card regulations will be altered by HDFC Bank as of tomorrow, August 1, 2024. The transaction amount will now be 1% of the charge for paying rent through apps like CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik, and Freecharge. This charge will be up to a maximum of Rs 3000 only. Apart from this, no extra charge will be levied on payment of petrol and diesel less than Rs 15000. But a 1% charge will be levied on payment of more than Rs 15000, which will be up to a maximum of Rs 3000.

No additional funds will be deducted from them if they fill up their gas tanks for less than Rs 30,000 in a single transaction. 1% of the entire amount, however, will be charged if gasoline over Rs 30,000 is filled in a single transaction. However, under no circumstances will this fee go over Rs 3000. A 3.5% markup will be assessed. You will be assessed a 3.5% markup fee for any transactions you make in foreign currency. This cost will be 2% for Tata New Infinity HDFC Bank, Infinia, Infinia (Metal Edition), Diners Black, Diners Black (Metal Edition), Biz Black Metal Card, Regalia Gold, BizPower, and 6E Rewards Indigo XL it will be 2.5%.

Changes in late payment fee structure:

The bank has also changed the late payment fee structure. From tomorrow, no late fee of any kind will have to be paid for less than Rs 100. Rs 100 will have to be paid for payments between Rs 101 to Rs 500, Rs 500 for Rs 501 to Rs 1000, Rs 600 for Rs 1001 to Rs 5000, Rs 750 for Rs 5001 to Rs 10000, Rs 900 for Rs 10001 to Rs 25000, Rs 1100 for Rs 25001 to Rs 50000 and Rs 1,300 will have to be paid for payments above Rs 50000.
