Toyota Launched CNG Cars: Toyota India has just launched Glanza CNG and HyRyder CNG. The price starts from Rs 8.43 lakh (Ex-showroom).

The CNG-fitted car demand is rising in India day by day. Almost every car manufacturer in India is increasing the CNG variant’s availability at their showrooms to hike their sales. The current CNG market king in India is Maruti, with over 10 lakh sales to date. Companies like Tata motors and Hyundai are now also entering the CNG segment. 

Toyota’s entry into the CNG segment – 

Toyota India has recently launched two of its cars in the CNG segment which shows the company’s entry into the CNG market. Glanza CNG and HyRyder CNG are the two new CNG cars from Toyota. The Glanza CNG is on offer with two trims, G and S trims. The price of the G trim is Rs. 8.43 lakh (Ex-showroom) and the S trim costs Rs 9.46 lakh (Ex-showroom). The price of HyRyder CNG will be revealed soon.

HyRyder CNG – 

Toyota HyRyder is slowly gaining popularity in its segment and now the CNG version of HyRyder is also available in the market. The HyRyder CNG gets a 1.5-liter petrol engine under the hood which is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. The claimed mileage of HyRyder CNG stands at 26.1 km/kg.

The features on offer in HyRyder are – A 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple Carplay, wireless charging in the central console, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, and an engine start/stop button.

Some smart features are also included like smartwatch integration, Siri and Google assistance support, connected car features with remote ignition, and automatic AC controls. The safety features of HyRyder CNG are – a 360-degree camera, a tire pressure monitoring system, a total of 6 airbags in the cabin, and vehicle stability control.

Glanza CNG – 

The CNG version of the Toyota Glanza gets the same 1.2-liter 4-cylinder K12 engine under the hood which makes around 90 bhp of power and 113 Nm of torque. Now, mated with CNG this engine will produce 76 bhp of power and 98.5 Nm of torque and it is coupled with a 5- speed manual gearbox. The claimed mileage of the Glanza CNG is 30.61 km/kg.

The looks and design of Glanza are unchanged in the CNG version and the features on offer are a 9inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports both Android Auto and Apple Carplay with Siri and google assistance command, automatic climate control, parking sensors with parking camera, also has the Toyota’s i-Connect technology which supports features like remote access, find-my-car, geo-fencing, etc.

The safety features list of Glanza CNG includes brake assist, automatic door lock, high-speed alert, vehicle stability assist, and 6-airbags in the cabin.
