Regarding the CUET exam, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has implemented a number of significant adjustments. The UGC claims that all of the reforms have been approved and will shortly be finalized following discussions with the participating universities in CUET. The exam will now solely be administered on computers, and students will have 60 minutes to complete the question paper.
The Common University Entrance Test Under Graduate (CUET-UG) has undergone numerous significant revisions pertaining to university entrance. This complete exam will be computer-based starting in 2025, which is the next session (CBT). Additionally, there will no longer be a question selection choice; instead, all questions must be answered. In addition, there won’t be any pressure on the subjects. In other words, you won’t have to worry about the subjects you learned in 12th grade to take the exam in any subject. Exams will henceforth be given in 37 subjects rather than 63, and they will last 60 minutes. Exams in a maximum of five topics are available to students.
This time, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has made various changes to increase the transparency and organization of the CUET-UG exam, which will take place in 2025. Nonetheless, since the exam’s inception in 2022, advancements have been made year.
A suggestion to enhance CUET: –
- Students may now take the test in up to five different subjects. Six subjects were formerly available in 2024. In 2022, there were nine subjects available for selection, and in 2023, there were ten.
- This test will now last no more than 60 minutes. It used to last between forty-five and sixty minutes.
- Instead of 63 subjects, students will now only have 37 to choose from.
- There are now only 23 domain-specific subjects instead of 29. Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies, and Engineering Graphics are among the domain-specific papers that have been eliminated.
- Additionally, CUET-PG’s duration has been shortened from 105 to 90 minutes.
(All of the reforms have been agreed upon, according to UGC. Following a conversation with the universities taking part in CUET, they will shortly be finalized.)
