Getting rail tickets for Rakshabandhan has become nearly impossible, as it usually does. The sole choice available in this circumstance is a Tatkal ticket. However, many decide not to travel home when they notice that purchasing Tatkal tickets online is difficult and that there is a line at the counter.
Initially, register for an account on the official IRCTC website or download the app to your smartphone. You will then need to log in. Following logging in, you will first have to go to the My Account section. Here click on My Profile go to My Master List and fill in your name, age, gender, etc. Here you will also have to choose whether you are a veg or non-veg. Your IRCTC account will be preserved with the name you entered in the master list. In this manner, you won’t have to input information like name, age, etc. while booking Tatkal tickets. In other words, the benefit of this is that you won’t need to fill out any information while purchasing Tatkal tickets.
Five minutes before the appointed time, log in.
At this point, you need to choose the Tatkal ticket category you wish to purchase in. Assume you wish to purchase an AC ticket. You must log in five minutes in advance if the AC booking time is at 10 am. After that, click on booking as soon as it gets to 10 am. The booking window will then open. You fill out the captcha here and click on train submit.
After this, the payment option will appear.
