The celebration of Holi

will be observed on March 25 this year. On this date, banks will be closed nationwide. In addition, banks will not be open on Saturday or Sunday because of the Fourth of July. Making a voter ID card while at home is possible.

Why are banks closed for six days in a row?

• On March 22, 2024, banks in Patna will be closed in observance of Bihar Day.
• Due to the fourth Saturday, banks are closed on March 23, 2024.
• Due to Sunday, banks are closed on March 24, 2024.
• Due to Holi, all cities except Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Imphal, Kochi, Kohima, Patna, Srinagar, and Trivandrum will be closed on March 25, 2024. Every bank in the nation will be closed on this holiday.
• Due to Holi, also known as Yaosang Day, banks in Bhopal, Imphal, and Patna will be closed on March 26, 2024.
• Due to Holi, banks in Patna will be closed on March 27, 2024.

The Reserve Bank’s calendar states that they would be closed for six days in a row. In honor of Holi in 2024, Aizawl, Belapur, Ahmedabad, Agartala, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad (AP and Telangana), Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji. Banks will remain closed in Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, and Shimla.

A long weekend is also coming

>> March 29, Friday- Good Friday:
They will remain closed in the entire country except for Tripura, Assam, Rajasthan, Jammu-Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh.
>> They are closed on 30th March due to the fourth Saturday.
>> Across the country they will remain closed on March 31 due to Sunday.
