On June 18, 2024, Bajaj Auto is scheduled to introduce its CNG bike. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, verified this during the Pulser NS400Z launch ceremony. Bajaj hopes to provide customers the choice of riding a motorcycle with low operating costs with its CNG bike in light of the escalating cost of gasoline. This will be the first CNG motorcycle ever made.
Although the bike’s exact specifications are still unknown,
it has been spotted numerous times over the last few months while undergoing testing. When it was in testing, Bajaj’s CNG motorbike included telescopic forks, a mono-shock suspension system, and halogen turn signals, just like a typical commuter bike. In addition, the long, single-piece seat, the multispoke alloy wheels, and a combination of disc and drum braking systems were seen in the bike.
Based on the test mule,
Bajaj’s next CNG motorcycle appears to be a commuter motorcycle in the lower price bracket. Remarkably, the business submitted trademark applications for names including Glider, Marathon, Trekker, and Freedom between January 29 and February 9. One of these names might be used for the future motorcycle’s debut.
There is currently no information available on engine specifications.
Bajaj can either create a new CNG engine from scratch or modify the current petrol engine to run on CNG. Let us inform you that Bajaj introduced Pulser NS400Z, the company’s largest Pulsar, on May 3. The ex-showroom pricing is Rs 1.85 lakh.
