DA Hike MP: Today, the third Monday of the holy month of Sawan in Madhya Pradesh has brought great news for all the employees of the state government. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the employees of the state by three percent. This increased dearness allowance will be available in the salary for the month of September in the month of August. Announcing the increase in dearness allowance today, Chief Minister Chouhan said, ‘It is the third Monday of Sawan month, I am going to visit Lord Bholenath. This is the prayer to Mahakal Maharaj that happiness-prosperity and riddhi-siddhi should all belong to the people of Madhya Pradesh. Let our country and the state move forward on the path of progress.
Dearness Allowance increased to 34 percent
He said, “At present, our government servants of Madhya Pradesh get 31 percent dearness allowance. We had increased it by 11 percent together last time. But today we are deciding that we will give a 34 percent dearness allowance to the government employees of Madhya Pradesh. Central government employees get a 34 percent dearness allowance. This decision will be taken from the salary for the month of August, which will be paid in September. We are implementing it now also.
Such a burden on the government
Chouhan further said, there will be an additional financial burden of about Rs 625 crore on the government. But more than seven and a half lakh employees, brothers and sisters will get its benefit. Therefore, for the betterment of him and his family, our state government has taken this big decision in the interest of its employees.
