A lot of roads are shut down or diverted during certain periods of time during the celebrations of Republic Day celebrations in Delhi. The routes are closed starting today
As per the official announcement according to the advisory. The Republic Day parade will start at 10.30 am, starting from Vijay Chowk and moving towards Red Fort. The parade will travel across Kartavya Path, C-Hexagon, Subhash Chandra Bose Golchakkar, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg, and Red Fort. Because of the fact that this parade is taking place, it has been stated in the notice that there will be no traffic to travel from Vijay Chowk to India Gate in the right-of-way until 6 pm on January 25, until the parade ends on the 26th of January. The traffic will not be allowed to cross along Rafi Marg Janpath, Man Singh Road, and Dutsepath starting at 10:00 pm Wednesday until the parade is over on the 26th of January.
The routes are shut on the 26th of January
The “C”-Hexagon-India Gate will be closed to traffic. Until 9.15 AM on Thursday until the parade is over at Tilak Marg. Traffic is not allowed in the areas of Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, and Subhash Marg from both directions starting at 10.30 morning on Wednesday. It is stated in the announcement that cross-traffic will be permitted only on the basis of the movement during the march.
Alternate route
- It is stated in the guideline. In order to travel toward the temple road, travelers should travel to Madrasa, Lodhi Road T-Point to Aurobindo Marg, AIIMS Chowk Ring Road-Dhaula Kula Vande Mataram Road, and Shankar Road.
- Passengers traveling between South Delhi to New Delhi Railway Station will need to travel Dhaula Kuan, Vande Mataram Marg, Panchkuian Road, Connaught Place Outer Circle, Chelmsford Road towards Paharganj or Minto Road and Bhavabhuti Marg towards Ajmeri Gate.
- To reach East Delhi, take Boulevard Road via ISBT Bridge, Rani Jhansi Flyover, Jhandewalan Roundabout, DB Gupta Road, Sheela Cinema Road, Paharganj Bridge, and eventually reach New Delhi Railway Station.
- People can use Ring Road, Ashram Chowk, Sarai Kale Khan, Raj Ghat, Chowk Yamuna Bazar, SP Mukherjee Marg, Chatta Rail, and Kauria Bridge to get to Old Delhi Railway Station from South Delhi.
These routes divert
The Ministry of Tourism is organizing “Bharat Parv” to mark the Republic Day of India. According to the advisory for traffic, the travel will be diverted away from Delhi Gate, Hanuman Mandir (Yamuna Bazar), Chatta Rail Chowk, Shanti Van, T-Point Subhash Marg as well as GPO (Kashmiri Gate). At the same time, traffic restrictions/regulations/diversion can be imposed on Netaji Subhash Marg, Nishad Raj Marg, Lothian Road (from GPO to Chatta Rail Chowk), Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Marg (from Hanuman Mandir to Chatta Rail Chowk).
It is important to know the fact. In Bharat Parv food courts, handicraft stands will also be installed on August 15 at Park in the park & Madhav Das Park. What impact does this have on Delhi Metro?
Metro train service will be accessible to passengers at all metro stations in the Republic Day parade on Thursday. However, the boarding and de-boarding process at the Central Secretariat & Udyog Bhavan metro stations is permitted. Only to invited guests or ticket holders between 5 am and 2 pm. However, DMRC has told that between 6 am on the 25th of January and 2 midnight on January 26. Metro stations’ parking will be restricted due to security precautions during Republic Day.
Free travel for these people
To celebrate Republic Day. DMRC is also offering gifts to individuals who are on duty to be a celebration of Republic Day. The employees who are to work on the 26th of January to participate in the celebration. And have an entry ticket to that Republic Day event, and will be given a free ride in the metro.
Delhi Police Instructions
In the meantime. It is also reported that police from the Delhi Traffic Police. They have advised those who travel towards railway stations ISBTs, or airports. That they should be sure to allow enough time for leaving when they reach these locations. The police also recommended that people use public transport to reduce congestion on roads. The guideline is that vehicles should be parked only in designated areas. And stay clear of parking on the roadside. If an object or person is observed under unconfirmed circumstances, the incident must be reported to the police.
